Dynium Robot is a UK startup focussing on mechanised agricultural vehicles. Their debut vehicle was developed by Silverstone based engineering company Performance Projects. Part way through the engineering process YSF Design was commissioned to design a two-piece exterior shell to provide general weather protection and essentially wrap the tractor with a modern sleek look. The brief from Dynium Robot was simple; to acheive a faceted look like a Stealth Fighter.
YSF Design worked simultaneously alongside Performance Projects sharing sketches and ideas. The final design was then carefully modelled with perfectly planar surfaces paying close attention to acceptable draft angles for the design to be compatible with mold processes.
